This is a good start but there's a lot that can be improved. For example, students should be given time to plan their presentations that you'd like them to make in the computer lab. What grade? Which standards are you covering? Think this plan through like you're actually using it in a classroom. The grade for this lesson will definitely affect the specific details you need to think about. Otherwise, it is a good idea with a lot of potential.
The SMART Board is a limited access device. Only 4 (or maybe 5 ) students can work on the board at one time. What will the others do? How will the presenters (last day) be selected. All groups will be very eager to present. Why are you mixing fossils with slow and fast climactic changes? I don't get the connection.
