In week one I have suggestions. Why don't you find a way to ask engaging question at the beginning and end of each chapter to keep the students engaged in the reading? Are there any short activities that you can do in between the readings to help break up the text? You need to find a way to make sure the students are engaged in a whole week of reading.
How many chapters long is this book? That is an important part of planing this lesson.
In your tools used, you said MacBooks allowing access to iPhoto and iMovie. Do you want the students to include pictures and movies in their presentation?
Make sure that if you list a common core standard that your students meet those standards in their lesson. How will you know that the students are able to do those things in the standards? Will you use a rubric?

ReplyDeleteIdentify standards by number.
What are the guiding questions for discussions? Don't just say what you want them to do. What is (are) your question(s)?
What is their project? Slideshow? Of what kind? For what purpose? Not clearly stated as such.
Good ideas but the questions, activities and objectives are not stated clearly (or at all).
